Chris is an Aboriginal and South Sea Islander man born, raised and lives on Yugambeh country. Chris is a Senior Lecturer and Director, Indigenous Engagement within the School of Justice in the QUT Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice. In his role as Director, Indigenous Engagement he engages with industry partners including ATSILS (Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Legal Services) and is also member of Indigenous Committee for the Queensland Bar Association.
Christopher holds a Masters and a Bachelors Degree of Laws and has been admitted to practice law as a ‘Barrister-At-Law’. He is also an Inspector of Police with over 35 years policing experiencing as a criminal investigator, prosecutor and legal advisor for the Queensland Police Service. As a BYS Board member, Chris hopes that he can contribute to BYS services to improving the lives of youth.
