Jacques joined BYS in 2024 as the Research and Evaluation Lead, overseeing monitoring, research, and evaluation activities.
Jacques has diverse expertise spanning research methods, policy, criminology, and psychology which he uses to implement the BYS Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Framework, manage qualitative and quantitative data collection, and lead research at BYS. With a strong commitment to social justice and trauma-informed research, Jacques prioritises amplifying the voices and needs of young people to enhance service delivery and support advocacy efforts.
Jacques holds a PhD in Justice from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) where he was a passionate unit coordinator for undergraduate criminology courses, including research methods, policy, and crime prevention.
