Imagine shooting hoops with your basketball heroes … a group of young people from BYS got to do just that, thanks to the generosity of our supporters the Brisbane Bullets.
As part of the Brisbane Bullets ‘Inner Sanctum Program’ a group of young people were treated to an exclusive training session with players from the Brisbane Bullets. During a hands on session with the players, young people were shown a few tips and tricks from the elite squad, who dazzled with their skills.
A memorable moment of the day was definitely watching the young people get involved by putting their skills to the test against some of their idols.
The BYS Day to Day Living Team provided breakfast at the Fortitude Valley HUB for the lucky group of young people, who then jumped in the BYS bus to the venue at Clem Jones Centre in Carina. The young people were able to watch the Brisbane Bullets practise and then participate in a clinic on court with some of the players and coaches.
A highlight for the young people was meeting some of the Brisbane Bullets players and putting their skills to the test. Everyone who participated had a great experience that they will long remember.
Brisbane Youth Service is thankful to supporters Brisbane Bullets for offering this opportunity to young people who are often socially isolated.
