We are so pleased to report that the highly successful Sustaining Young Tenancies Project has been funded by the Department of Housing and Public Works for another 12 months giving us the opportunity to continue helping young people to maintain their social housing tenancy.
- Over a 12 month period Sustaining Young Tenancies supported 89 young people
- 96 percent of tenancies supported by Sustaining Young Tenancies were successful
- 22 percent were assessed as doing well at the beginning of support
- 78 percent were assessed as doing well at the end of the support
Based on the evaluation report by AHURI, the Department is considering how SYT can benefit other young people across the state.
