A Brisbane Youth Service (BYS) property has recently been revamped with the help of a neighbouring local business. Our new office for the Housing and Tenancy Support program at Winstanley St, Carindale has been transformed by the crew from Rochele Painting.
‘Painting with Purpose’ is a community goodwill project created by Rochele Painting, who have committed to providing $30,000 worth of free painting services each year to benefit people impacted by chronic illness or financial hardship. The goodwill funds are split across many projects throughout the year and BYS is extremely grateful to have been chosen to receive over $4,000 worth of free painting services for our Winstanley St property.
Donations like these mean more of our funds can go directly towards helping young people. The value of Rochele Painting’s generous contribution is equivalent to 4 x SmartenUp grants, providing basic educational resources including computer equipment and uniforms to help young people re-engage with or remain in school.
We are continually inspired by the creative ways individuals, organisations, and supporters choose to assist us—connecting and partnering with us so that together we can do more to ensure our sustainability and to continue creating new futures for young people.
