DA’Burger Fans Provide Free Meals for Local Homeless Youth

Sep 13, 2018

Long-time and loyal friend of Brisbane Youth Service, DA’Burger New Farm, are passionate about making Brisbane’s most DA’licious burgers.

But what many might not know is that Founders, James and Wendy are also dedicated to creating opportunities for vulnerable young people who need help – employing those who have been homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless and providing them with genuine support and quality training as part of the DA’Burger team.

The New Farm store’s suspended burger program is another way the couple give back, enabling their generous customers and burger fans to purchase meals for young people accessing BYS services in the form of free meal vouchers. For many who cannot afford to eat regularly, the meal vouchers are a real treat and provide a nutritious and hearty feed.

We are continually inspired by the creative ways individuals, community groups and businesses choose to support us—connecting and partnering with us so that together we can do more to ensure our sustainability and to continue creating new futures for young people.
