A huge thank you goes out to Foot Locker who recently brought together Brisbane Youth Service (BYS) and the Brisbane Bullets as part of their Week of Greatness campaign, to give young people a real behind-the-scenes experience they would never forget.
Foot Locker teamed up with the Brisbane Bullets to put on an afternoon of basketball games and drills for a group of young residents from our Windsor and Phoenix housing programs. Several players from the team turned up to surprise the excited youngsters and present them each with a Foot Locker gift voucher.
Foot Locker then took their generosity one step further, making a $1,500 donation to BYS! The funds will be used to support young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless on their journey to a better and brighter future.
#WeekOfGreatness was first conceived by Foot Locker in the US in 2012 and has now become one of the most anticipated weeks in the sneaker calendar around the globe. The campaign combines their most anticipated annual sneaker launch and partnering with local non-profit organisations to champion acts of greatness.
