2021 Christmas Appeal

No one should be homeless and alone during the holidays. Please donate today to urgently support Brisbane’s vulnerable young people when they need it most.

You Can Make a Difference!

Last Christmas wasn’t a good one. I didn’t see my family. I was on my own and sleeping on the street. Like many young people fleeing a very unsafe situation, I didn’t have the support to find a safe place to stay.” – *Gemma, 18 yrs

For Gemma, sadly, this wasn’t her first experience of homelessness.

Without the right support young people can struggle with homelessness their whole lives. Intervening early is critical to reduce their exposure to violence and trauma and prevent them from losing hope for the future.

Will you donate before 25 December to support young people, like Gemma, when they need it most?

Please note, due to recent policy updates and Brisbane Youth Service’s Covid-19 Safe Work Plan, we’re no longer able to accept physical donations of clothing, books, toys, food, toiletries etc. For this reason, we’re running our annual Christmas Hamper Drive a little differently this year. You can still help spread some much-needed good cheer by purchasing a Christmas food hamper online for a young person or young family in need – BUY NOW.

* At Brisbane Youth Service we respect everyone who comes to us for help, and many are working toward a fresh start in life. So, while their quotes and stories are true, client names and ages have been changed to protect their privacy and images are not always a true representation of the young person who has bravely shared their story. Thank you for your understanding.
