Centre for Young Women
Summary:
On-site supports at Zillah Street include group work activities and individual appointments with a dedicated young women’s support worker. Outreach support to meet young women either at home or in the community is also provided.

Target clients: Young women experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless
Eligible: Young women aged 12 – 25
Office hours: 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. Please call to make an appointment
Referrals: External referrals can be made over the phone or via email, or from another BYS service site
Access: There are regular train and bus services to Buranda or Stones Corner. CFYW is also wheelchair accessible.
Bus: Take the 174 or 175 and get off at stop 17a on Logan Road at Stones Corner Shops, Greenslopes. From there it is a three minute walk to CFYW.
The following bus routes stop at Stones Corner busway station, which is a 10 minute walk from CFYW: 61, 209, 222.
Train: Buranda train station is on the Cleveland line and operates a half hourly service. Buranda train station is 10 minutes walk from CFYW.

Notes:
- This site has the facilities to provide a safe space for all youngwomen
- Appointments are necessary if you want to meet with a worker and access support
- Accompanying children are welcome onsite; there are child-friendly spaces that include baby change facilities.
